In autumn 2018 we were looking for the right time to launch the alpha version of BrikkApp when we got the opportunity to present at the TechCrunch Disrupt Berlin. It was the very first opportunity to show BrikkApp to the outside world. Here’s what we have learned from the experience of exhibiting at the Startup Alley.

BrikkApp is all about community, so exhibiting our solution at an international event with huge crowds of people interested in tech and innovation has been a blast for us. BrikkApp is a platform for anyone interested in online real estate investing from as little as 100 EUR. At BrikkApp, both retail and institutional investors can find deals in fractions of loan or equity investments with locations around the world.

TechCrunch Disrupt focuses on newly launched startups. At BrikkApp, we decided to take this to the next level and do our official launch right there! Our primary goal was collecting feedback. We like to start relationships off early and integrate any lessons learned into potentially large marketing strategies.

As one of the founders, Jan Vecerka, describes: “We launched our alpha at the Disrupt Berlin. Our goal was to receive as much feedback as possible. We gained many valuable insights and pre-registrations. It was an amazing experience and we might join again with the next release.“

BrikkApp's mission is to help our global audience make the smartest property investment decisions. We deliver content that informs and influences the entire spectrum of investment buyers. In Berlin, we generated hundreds of leads and had amazing in-depth discussions with senior executives from the fintech industry.

Our highlight activity for the Disrupt Berlin attendees was organizing a competition related to our product. The lucky winner who guessed the closest number of bricks won the BrikkApp Challenge and got awarded an Amazon voucher. We were excited to see the buzz that our challenge created among the crowd.

For the BrikkApp team, we’ve had a successful and encouraging experience. People seemed to understand what customer problems we’re addressing and liked our solution. We got tons of ideas for future development. While we had already established a clear plan for the upcoming months, we were glad to see what further features we could focus on at later stages. Many thanks to everyone who visited us and gave us feedback - we really appreciate it.
